The dance activities of Serdar Sungar that started with traditional Turkish dances in his early years kept going in his student life in METU at METU Turkish Folklore Club and in Anadolu University as an instructor. Serdar Sungar further carried on his relationship with the dance by the latin dance classes of Ümit Yris and appeared within the team that started Argantine Tango dance in Turkey with Metin Yazyr in 1997.
Between the years 1997-2001, he continued his dance activities with Metin Yazyr – whom he took long time of training- as Baila Tango’s Turkey representative & instructor and organized many activities like tango classes, workshops and milongas in Istanbul, Ankara & Eski?ehir to spread out Argantine Tango in Turkey.
Rebecca Shulman, Cecilia Gonzalez, Gustavo Naveria y Giselle Anne, Natalia Games y Gabriel Angio, Esteban Moreno y Claudia Codega, Guillermina Quirego, Eric Jeurissen, Graciela Gonzalez, Geraldine Rojas y Javier Rodriguez, Fabian Salas y Carolina del Rivero, Julio Balmaceda y Corina de la Rosa and Pablo Veron y Noel Strazza are among the main instructors that played role in the improvement of his dance.
Serdar Sungar is a founding member and president of TangoTurk and gives Argantine Tango lessons, organizes milongas, workshops & various tango activities. He has graduated from Anadolu University Department of Economics and currently works in the advertising sector.
